Introduction to Geometry

Geometry module of SALOME is destined for:

• import and export of geometrical models in IGES, BREP and STEP formats;
• construction of geometrical objects using a wide range of functions;
• viewing geometrical objects in the OCC viewer;
• transformation of geometrical objects using various algorithms;
• optimization of geometrical objects;
• viewing geometrical object properties and other information about geometrical objects using measurement tools;
• designing shapes from pictures;
• easily setting parameters via the variables predefined in SALOME notebook.
